We are looking for that project manager, who is mature and can successfully balance customers’ needs with ours. Cloud-based solutions require a long-term approach and the project manager builds the foundation for a healthy relationship.

Who are we?

Simms & Associates is a boutique consulting firm with operations in North America, Europe and Australia. Originally founded in Spain, Europe, but in 2021 incorporated in North America.

Our team is multinational with consultants and project managers across many countries. S&A support UKG in many of their multinational implementations across Retail and Manufacturing. In parallel, S&A is building a network of direct customers as we expand our portfolio.

Our aim is to build a global presence so that we can provide a better service to our international clients. Due to circumstances most of our work is done remotely, but in the near future project work may require some travel again.

More about the role

As a Project Manager (PM) within the S&A Services team, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and successfully implementing new and projects for our customers.

Project Managers will have strong experience managing multiple high-complexity projects simultaneously and are experienced in effectively communicating and negotiating resource, cost, and timeline information to our internal and external customers.

The Project Manager works closely with our partners exercising leadership and organizational management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, meeting the customer’s stated and implied business needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and communicate project work plans, scope, timeline, and project resourcing requirements
  • Manage and resolve issues
  • Perform risk management to minimize and mitigate project risks
  • Set and manage customer expectations of project deliverables then communicate, as needed, to meet changing situations
  • Use appropriate change control to manage change in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Prepare, coordinate, and lead meetings between customers, S&A Team members and other stakeholders
  • Manage projects using UKG methodology standards and recommend appropriate changes to improve speed and consistency of work delivery
  • Enforce project standards to ensure deliverable quality

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a professional services organisation, preferably a B2B software company in HCM or Workforce Management.
  • 5+ years working experience as a project manager.
  • Broad knowledge of labor management, HCM, scheduling, leave management, or similar domain product/systems strongly preferred
  • Well versed in software implementation methodology with experience defining project requirements, managing project engagements, developing project plans, etc.
  • A. / B.S. degree, with a focus in business or Information technology preferred or equivalent experience
  • Pacific/Mountain time preferred location or ability to support PST/MST
  • Demonstrates strong leadership presence and consulting skills, partnering with customer’s executives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong, effective decision-making and multi-tasking skills within stringent deadlines
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to meet changing scope and resource situations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • PMP Certification or equivalent preferred. Additional relevant qualifications, e.g. Agile, Change Management, will be taken into consideration.
